Star Surf Camps is proud to announce we are the official sponsors for the German Surf and Bodyboard national team (both sexes and all divisions)! We provided support for the team who recently ventured over to Ireland for the European Surfing Championships (EURO SURF 2011).
This one week exclusive trip to Morocco is only available to Star Surf Camp guests and will be limited to 12 people. Morocco is the perfect place to take your surfing to the next level and progress in a safe and fun environment on some of the worlds longest waves. Your guide will take you to the best waves suited to your individual ability every day, tell you the safest places to enter and exit the water and give you any tips you may need. He is also there to show you the best places to eat, shop and explore.
Despite a few days of cloud and rain the guys in the surf camp have made the most of the red flag days and ventured further afield to other cities in the area to taste the local delicacies and drink some fine local vino! Fete de Bayonne, for those who have never been, has to be one of Europe’s busiest, craziest and most fun one week long street parties. San Sebastian as always gave the guests a great day of sightseeing and eating and Hossegor once again provided enough shops and outlets for everyone to spend the remainder of their spending money on surf boards, clothes and skateboards.
We are extremely proud to announce Nicola Atherton will be joining our coaching team for the 2011 season. Nicola is one of the worlds top professional female surfers, highlights amongst others include winning the 2007 World Junior Championship and T&C Pipeline Pro in 2006. Nicola comes from Australia and will be spending her summers helping to teach surfing to our guests and training for this years professional tour.
This is a great opportunity to be taught to surf by one of surfings most talented women and get to really understand what goes on behind the scenes in the world of professional surfing. Nicola will be living in the camp and most days will be found on the beach surfing, teaching and generally living the dream. After a long but rewarding build up the surf camp in Moliets has been finished to an incredibly high standard. This year we have grown to host up to 60 people at a time and have the new addition of our Apres Surf tent. Here you will find an artificial grass floored chill area fully equipped with a large projector, sound system and games consoles, comfortable seating, shade and above all our snack bar/dj box!
The projector is used in the evenings to analyze surf footage and to host presentations and theory lessons, then we crank up the music and open a few beers for some evenings entertainment. This year we have more bikes, more hammocks and a much larger camping area creating a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere.
